Helpful First Visit Information

 

We want your first visit to feel simple, comfortable, and well-organized. Here’s everything you need to know to prepare.

 

Before Your Appointment

 

Complete Your Intake Form

 

After scheduling your appointment, you will receive an email with a link to complete your New Patient Intake Form online.

​

• Takes about 15–20 minutes

• Includes your health history and consent forms

• You may be asked to enter a credit card, but you will not be charged until your appointment

 

Alternative: You may arrive 15–20 minutes early to complete a paper form in the office.

Your First Visit

 

Your initial visit is designed to understand your condition and begin treatment right away.

 

During your visit:

​

• We’ll discuss your health concerns and goals

• A detailed evaluation will be performed

• We’ll determine if acupuncture is appropriate for your condition

• If appropriate, you will receive your first treatment

 

After your session, we’ll go over the recommended next steps to help you achieve the best results.

 

Plan Your Time

• First visit: up to 90 minutes

• Follow-up visits: typically 30–45 minutes

 

Please arrive about 15–20 minutes early to allow time for parking and check-in.

 

If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present.

How to Prepare

​

• Eat light: Avoid heavy meals within 1 hour

• Stay hydrated: Drink water before and after

• Limit caffeine/smoking: Avoid 3–6 hours before your visit

• Wear comfortable clothing: Loose clothing is best

• Arrive relaxed: Silence your phone and minimize distractions

Free Parking Available

• Parking lot located to the right of the building entrance

• From Coral Way, turn right before passing the building

• Drive up the ramp and press 202 at the gate

• Please avoid reserved spaces

 

If Parking is Full

Street parking is available using the PayByPhone app.

 

When You Arrive

 

Go to the 2nd floor and enter the Flexi-Works waiting area.

Have a seat and wait to be welcomed in, or text us at (786) 309-1456 to let us know you’ve arrived.

 

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.

We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes. Missed or late cancellations may be charged the full appointment fee.

 

Late Arrival

If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, a rescheduling or cancellation fee may apply.

Please text us if you are running late—we will do our best to accommodate you.
